Turf Maintenance

A MENU OF OUR TURF MANAGEMENT AND PLANT HEALTH CARE PROGRAMS
Core Applications:
  1. Early Spring: Applying crabgrass pre-emergent and post-emergent control and a balanced slow release fertilizer promotes dark, healthy green color for your turf in early spring. The crabgrass controls will reduce existing crabgrass and inhibit new growth of crabgrass.
  2. Spring: A second application using a fertilizer with a herbicide targeting crabgrass, clover, and other undesirable broadleaves and grasses.
  3. Early Summer: A “Weed & Feed” application using an organic-based fertilizer and concentrating on broadleaf weed control, such as dandelions.
  4. Summer: An application of a slow-release fertilizer that promotes deep root growth to help your turf stand up to summer stresses. An added herbicide aimed at problem weeds and grasses.
  5. Early Fall: An application of organic-based fertilizer with targeted weed control.
  6. Fall Winterizer: One of the most important applications of the year. We concentrate on root growth and health so that your lawn will withstand the cold of winter, and emerge deep green in the spring.

Added Services:

Soil Preparation with Lime:
Applying pelletized dolomitic limestone helps to achieve proper soil pH balance for better nutrient uptake, resulting in a greener, healthier lawn.
Grub Control:
A preventive late spring-through-summer insecticide application. Unchecked grubs can severely damage the roots of turf grasses.
Bagworm Control:
Bagworms can devastate an individual planting or even a whole row of plantings in quick time. Control requires two treatments, one as early as mid-June and the other as late as late August.
Aeration with Spot Seeding:
We remove plugs of soil 2-3 inches deep in the fall to allow more air, water and nutrients to reach the deeper root zone of your regularly treated turf area. Homeowners must mark irrigation with provided flags. The “Good Faith” statement applies if flags do not mark hazards sufficiently. A spot overseeding helps to maintain established turf.
Aeration with Full Over-Seeding:
A Core-Aeration service coupled with applying 6 pounds per 1000 square feet of appropriate perennial lawn seed.
Turf Renovation:
By slice seeding your yard and giving it continued care, we can re-establish its standard quality.

All services: Atlantic, Cape May, Camden, Cumberland, Gloucester, New Castle, Burlington County, and Salem Counties.

Mole Reduction:
A 2-step process for ridding a yard of moles and voles. The first application sends moles from your area, and a second application keeps them from entering again.
Nutsedge:
This stubborn grassy weed requires specialized treatment to minimize its intrusion into the turf.
Flea and Tick Control:
Monthly applications of this product will dramatically reduce the number of pests in your yard.
Goose Control:
Lawn application to direct geese to other locations.
Soil Analysis:
Soil sample takes about a week for a full analysis of nutrients, concentrating on pH levels for your yard.
